I really wanted to like this case, but the fit for a paperwhite is really poor. This makes it awkward to hold for any length of time. I have problems with my hands that make it hard to get a good grip. I first tried one of the "lightest and thinnest" covers. The hinge portion that doesn't go all the way to the top and bottom means that the front and back slide up and down when held with the cover opened all the way.So I started looking again. I have and have had enough Kindles of various types that I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for. I wanted a cover that had some padding, that had a hinge portion going the full height of the spine and ideally, some sort of pocket on the inside of the front cover too stick my fingers in to get a better grip since the official elastic straps for that purpose are always too tight. I also like the auto shutdown/start up. And bright colors are nice.So this looked like a great choice.. It seemed to meet most of my wish list for a cover. It looked good out of the box. The color and pattern are nice. The covering material was a bit more plasticy, and hasn't got much texture. I assume that the reason it doesn't have the auto sleep/wake-up is that it is designed to hold many different devices. And that one=-size-fits--many is the real problem. The device is held in by elastic corner pieces, with a fair amount of leeway. The paperwhite is one of the smaller devices this case is designed for, so it ends up sitting in the middle with a lot of space around the edges. this means that when the cover is folded all the way open it can be a stretch to use the left thumb for the touchscreen. And the cover doesn't fold back very well, it seems very stiff. that may loosen up some after a while. So good aspects are the color/pattern, the pocket inside the front coverBad aspects are the fit and the slickness of the plastic.Would I buy this again? Almost certainly not, fact I remembered to review
